Community Events

The Buffalo-Pepin County Fairgrounds are located in Mondovi and takes place annually at the beginning of August. The fair features a carnival, rides, food and drink stands, displays, judging, contests, music, entertainment, and more.  For more information about the fair, visit the official Buffalo/Pepin County Fair web site.  Another online source for fair information is the U.W. Several area vendors provide Farmer’s Market type roadside markets for farm fresh produce and flowers during the spring, summer and fall. A local Farmer’s Market takes place on Tuesdays and Saturdays during the growing season in front of the Roger Marten Community Center. If you visit Mondovi during the growing season it is hard to miss the lovely landscaping and flower plantings in public areas around the community.  The local garden club plans, provides and maintains these beautiful areas. Contact city hall if you are interested in joining the garden club. 

A big draw for winter fun is the annual Ice Fishing Contest held on Mirror Lake each February.  Prizes, games, food, beverage, and entertainment give residents and visitors a reason to look forward to winter.  The event is organized by the Mondovi Conservation Club.

Join the City of Mondovi at the Grand Parade on July 4th. There will be a kiddie parade at 12:30 followed by the Grand Parade at 1:00. Vendors will be set up at Mirror Lake with fireworks at dusk over Mirror Lake. 

An annual event held downtown Mondovi in March around St. Patrick's Day.  A fun evening where local businesses open their doors to show you all what our awesome community has to offer.  You'll find business specials, games, raffles, and even green beer.  The event is hosted by the Mondovi Business Association and proceeds go to fund improvements in our community.
